The memorial reads:

Kewpie's Korner

This garden is dedicated to Mrs. Kewpie Gaido, a fifth generation Galvestonian, for her many contributions in the beautification of the community, including the International Oleander Society. June 1990

---

Today, the garden is primarily palm trees, but it is well maintained. While you're here, be sure to park in the lot across the street and visit the legendary Gaido's Seafood Restaurant to have a meal you'll never forget.
