[DE] "Um das Jahr 1800 erwarb der Kölner Kaufmann Paul Josef Nolden in Plaidt eine alte Gips- und Ölmühle. Im Jahr 1802 genehmigte die damalige französische Verwaltung Paul Josef Nolden den Umbau zu einer Papiermühle. Schon wenige Jahre später wird hier Papier produziert. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts erwarb die Familie Weinand die Papiermühle. Bis 1958 wurden vor allem Packpapiere und Kartonagen hergestellt. Im Februar 1973 endete die Produktion in der "Noldensmühle".

Arround 1800, the Cologne businessman Paul Josef Nolden bought an old gypsum and oil mill in Plaidt. In 1802, the then french Administration gave Paul Josef Nolden permission to convert it to a paper mill. Just a few years later, paper was produced here. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Weinand family bought the paper mill. By 1958 it was producing mostly packing paper and cardboard. In february 1973 production in the Noldensmühle was discontinued."
