The bench is bolted to a decent-sized concrete slab, and has two broad wooden slats for the back, and two similar wooden slats for the seat/bottom part. It has great views over the Pacific Ocean from the headland reserve. As at April 2016 it was painted a 'Forest Green'.

The etched stainless steel plaque is held onto the upper back slat by stainless steel screws. It reads:

	  IN LOVING MEMORY OF
    CEDRIC and HELEN GOSLING
     1904 - 1984	1914 - 2004
	THEIR FAVOURITE PLACE.
