The construction of the Loreto started in 1704. The beautiful embossed stuccos were completed in 1709. The donor of the building was Anthony Florian of Liechtenstein. It is presumed that the church was designed by byl Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, author of significant Baroque structures in Austria. The building was inspired by the Italian „Holy Hut“, but locally extracted sandstone was used to make the ten Sibyls and ten prophets instead of marble, which is used in the case of the Italian Loreto. In addition to the reliefs and sculptures, the exterior of the Loreto also includes Corinthian semi-columns with richly decorated capitals. Inside the Loreto is a copy of “Miraculous Black Madonna” of cedar wood decorated with gold and diamonds. In 1694 the statuette was consecrated by Pope Innocent XII. The construction of the cloister along the chapel perimeter was commenced in 1743.

Loreta v Rumburku patrí svou štukovou a socharskou výzdobou mezi nejhodnotnejší loretánské kaple v Ceské republice. Architektonicky cenná vnejší schrána loretánské kaple Panny Marie je barokní kopií italského renesancního originálu. Predmetem úcty poutníku je Svatá chýše, dum Panny Marie v Nazaretu, v nemž došlo ke Zvestování o narození Spasitele, byl vychován Ježíš a žila Svatá rodina. Spolu s ambitem s bohatou nástropní výmalbou ze života Panny Marie a Ježíše Krista, objektem Svatých schodu (Scala sancta) a kostelem sv. Vavrince byla Loreta soucástí areálu kapucínského kláštera (dnes mestská knihovna).

Svatou chýši v Rumburku nechal podle projektu významného architekta Johanna Lucase Hildebrandta z Vídne postavit majitel panství kníže Anton Florian z Liechtensteina. Se stavbou Lorety se zacalo roku 1704. K vysvecení loretánské kaple došlo 15. 9. 1707. Krásné štukové reliéfy byly dokonceny v roce 1709. Ke zhotovení deseti Sibyl a deseti proroku byl použit na místo mramoru, jenž je na italské Lorete, místní pískovec. Spolu s reliéfy a sochami obohacují vnejší vzhled Lorety korintské polosloupy s bohatými hlavicemi.

Uvnitr Lorety se nachází kopie „zázracné Cerné Madony“ z cedrového dreva posázeného zlatem a drahokamy. Soška byla roku 1694 posvecená papežem Innocencem XII. Roku 1743 byla zahájena stavba krížové chodby po obvodu kaple.
