The Stadtapotheke (city pharmacy) in Amstetten has a long tradition. This is also shown by the two wall paintings, which can be seen on the outer facade. One of them shows the "good shepherd" with two sheep. The other a pharmacist who is preparing a medicine. In front an obviously sick person who is taking medicine. How old the paintings are is unknown, but the picture of the shepherd is signed with "Harnisch".
History:
1815: Founding of the city pharmacy >> To the Good Shepherd <<
1899: Purchase by pharmacist Mr. Ph. Wilhelm Mitterdorfer. Foundation of Mr. W. Mitterdorfer OHG. By the way, WILMIA, the still existing brand name, derives from Wilhelm Mitterdorfer.
1923: Mag. Wolfgang Mitterdorfer extends the operation by buying the neighboring house. Repeated conversions and additions, which ultimately resulted in the uniform design of houses 17-19.
1978: Management is handed over from Mag. Otto Mitterdorfer to Mag. Pharm. Lise Christa Mitterdorfer.
Summer 2000: Complete redesign of the traditional pharmacy.
