The small town of Elie is situated on the Firth of Forth coast in the eastern part of the kingdom of Fife in Scotland.
A road leads out on a small causeway between the harbour and Wood Haven where there is a pay and display car park. Next to the car park is a stone with an information sign on it with a map depicting the Kingdom of Fife Millennium Cycle Ways route, a series of signposted, safe cycle routes. This particular one runs the 19 miles from Elie, Kilconquhar and Largoward, with the map showing your position near the coast. The sign also gives information on local history.
