The Lutsen Alpine Slide has been thrilling vacationers since 1977 with its half mile of twists and turns. It is part of the Lutsen Ski Resort which offers things to do in every season. Riders on the alpine slide start with a ski lift ride up Lutsen’s Eagle Mountain where a beautiful view of Lake Superior and the Sawtooth Mountains awaits. The sled has control brakes for the speed comfort of each rider, and signs along the way tell when speed must be controlled. There are two concrete slides. A single ride is $12 for riders 6 and up, and children 2-5 are free if riding with a paying adult. Special rate packages are offered including a combination with the gondola ride: Adult - $28; Senior - $25; Child - $20 .
