EN We are here on the road to Albiosc, a small village attached to Esparron de Verdon in 1973 which once constituted a community of its own. This chapel was erected near a place of passage of any time frequented.

This chapel is placed under the invocation of Saint Madeleine, patroness of the parish of Esparron de Verdon. This saint, who is the object of a great devotion on the part of the Provençals, is often invoked along important routes.

The building is simple in structure, rectangular in plan, and a metal cross surmounts its roof. It was probably built in the 17th century and restored in 1897 as indicated by the vintage that surmounts its door.

A reliquary bust of the holy neighbor with her altar. There is also a picture of the resurrection of Christ, of which the saint was the first witness. The inhabitants go there in procession every July 22, the day of his feast. The esplanade that surrounds it, the hundred-year-old oak trees that shade it are there to bear witness.
