The busy, West Beijing Station is located to the west of Beijing city. From here a myriad of high and low-speed trains traverse the vast distances of China. The station itself is busy, and complicated. If you are a non-Chinese speaker I suggest you arrive even six hours before your departure, as things can get complicated. Buy your ticket downstairs, go upstairs to enter, then go down stairs to the ground floor level to depart. Lots of inspections of yourself, your ticket, and your possessions. Only the ground floor ticket area is accessible without a ticket. The station is on the subway line, also lots of taxis and buses. Take care.

wikipedia:
Beijing West (Beijingxi) Railway Station (Chinese: ????; pinyin: Beijing Xi Zhàn; colloquially referred to as West Station ???) is located in western Beijing's Fengtai District. Opened in early 1996 after three years of construction, it was the largest railway station in Asia with an area of 510,000 m2,[1][2] before being surpassed by Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in platform capacity. The station serves in average 150,000–180,000 passengers per day with a maximum of 400,000 people per day.[3] It was expanded in 2000 and had a vast amount of parking spaces added.
