"SILVER CITY DAYS

Each year, the Trail Festival Society presents Silver City Days in the first two weeks of May. Established in 1962, the annual celebration commences with a Citizen of the Year Award, honoring an exceptional volunteer from Trail or Warfield. The celebration continues over five days and nights with fun, with additional food and entertainment at Gyro Park.

A midway, parade and fireworks follow with festivities including a Family Day, pancake breakfast, bocce tournament, Toonie Seniors' Dance, midway and carnival, fireworks display, casino, parade, Bavarian gardens and many other events throughout the city."

We have attended Silver City Days every year since moving to the area. There are huge crowds at the parade, the midway and carnival. We always start our day with the pancake breakfast.

There are several newly decorated utility boxes in downtown Trail and nearby communities. Mostly likely they were decorated within the last few weeks. We are glad to see that Trail is enhancing the utility boxes with local points of interest.
