Marker and gravesite of John Johnson, a British Army veteran of the War of 1812.

Johnson was born in 1791, possibly in Adolphustown, ON. He served as a Private with the Flank Company, First Regiment Prince Edward Militia during the War.

After the War ended he settled in this area on land granted by the Crown for services rendered during the War.

Johnson died in 1865.

In November 2014, the official marker indicating Johnson's War of 1812 Veteran status was dedicated by local politicians and descendents.

Stockdale Cemetery may be reached via Stockdale Road (CR 5) west from the Village of Frankford.
