Evansville Cemetery is a small rural cemetery, which is in the news at the time of this posting. A volunteer group of citizens is taking on the project of mowing and maintaining this area, and taking down the fence which has separated the white and black burial sites for too long.

This double headstone is for Mary Jane Fields (12/15/1945 - 4/4/2007) and her husband Glenn G. Fields (1/26/1942 - ). The light gray granite headstone is divided and engraved for each. On the back side of the headstone are engravings of their hobbies and interests.

At the center is the emblem of the Hickory Hills Fire Department, a volunteer unit out of Luther, OK. On the back of Glenn's inscription is a picture of a man sitting at a zither with the words, "Pickin with Friends". On the back side of Mary Jane's side, is a picture of two men in a fishing boat, one standing and landing a big one. The words "Fishing with Family" are shown.
