A trapezoid shaped granite stele honors four graduates of Sharon Springs Central School who died while serving their country during World War II. Each has their name, class, cause of death, and date of death inscribed on the monument. The trapezoid has the incised image of the United States seal. Adjacent to the trapezoid is a bench with the emblems with the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The monument is inscribed:
