Well presented park in Bathurst
From the local Council's website: Macquarie River Regional Park
"The Macquarie River Bicentennial Park was established as part of Bathurst's 1988 Bicentennial Celebrations. The park lies adjacent to the Macquarie River at the lower end of William Street.
"The park includes a children's playground area, peace garden, remembrance walls and the Ohkuma Japanese Garden. The Japanese Garden is an ideal site for weddings."
From an aerial view, this covers 30m x 30m pf bark-chip and shade-sail covered play ground. There are multiple elements for very young, to teenage children to enjoy.
As the 'main photo' shows, there is a spinning twisted pole for one person, multiple climbing nets of different size mesh sizes, and a small 'rock climbing wall'.
There are ladders (rigid, chain, and hoop), Monkey Bars, and Monkey Rings for upper body strength.
For toddlers there are low platforms to climb onto, with sliding balls to push back and forth.
For young children there are hanging 'mushrooms' to test balance and agility, to move from one side to the other of the 'gym'.
