Originally a Renaissance chateau built in the place of a Gothic fortress, adapted in the style of the second rococo. A personal lift of the Ringhofer company from 1870 can be found in the chateau. Ferdinand d'Este was married in the local chapel of St Francis of Assisi. The largest collection of mural and ceiling paintings of the 19th cent, in Czech chateaux.

Puvodne renesancní zámek postavený na míste gotické tvrze, upravený ve stylu druhého rokoka. Na zámku se nachází osobní výtah firmy Ringhofer z r. 1870. Ve zdejší kapli sv. Františka z Assisi mel v roce 1900 svatbu Ferdinand d'Este. V zámeckém príkopu se chovají medvedi. Zámek je spojen s mnoha duležitými osobnostmi. Malír Jos. Navrátil zde po sobe zanechal nejvetší kolekci nástenného i nástropního malírství 19. stol. na ceských zámcích.
