From the church website:-
St James' was built in 1888 by the sixth Earl Beauchamp of Madresfield as a chapel of ease to Powick church. Set just off the main Upton Road next to Callow End Primary School, it has a brick nave and chancel and features a small louvred bell turret on the roof. It was recently extended to provide a new vestry and kitchen facilities.

The original windows on the north wall were replaced in 2003 with the stained glass Apostle windows rescued from the now demolished Powick Hospital chapel.
Date the Church was built, dedicated or cornerstone laid: 01/01/1888
