There are many dedicated trees surrounding the Joliet Community Center. The dedicated trees are placed lining the parking area and in front of the center. Included among them is a dedicated tree honoring Glida and Trygve Mydland.

Glida A. Wakeman Mydland was born February 12, 1911 in Wisconsin and passed away July 19, 1997.

Trygve Melvin Mydland born March 30, 1910 and passed away November 18, 1955.
