In 2001 the Slater-Silvernail Post 806 of the American Legion established a memorial honoring all the servicemen from the Bainbridge, NY area that died in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The memorial consists of 19 individual bronze plaques set on a two long granite bases; 10 on the left base and 9 on the right base. In the middle is a marble stele with the boots, rifle, helmet image used to signify a person who died while on duty.
The plaque for World War II casualty Plt./Sgt. Clarence Adrian Bush, USMC, is located on the left base, the fifth plaque from the left. It is inscribed:
