Coloured bricks have been shaped and constructed into a seven hand bunch of bananas on the front of The Avenues Cafe, Sneinton Market on Gedling St, Nottingham.
The café in Sneinton formally known as ‘Tasty Bites’ has apparently been in the market area for around 20 years.
As far as I can tell the building dates from around 1957, and was the former Fyffes banana warehouse, in its day one of the biggest importers and distributors of bananas in Europe.
