The Corrigin Town Hall was built during 1928 to be completed in time to celebrate the centenary of the foundation of Western Australia in 1929. The building was constructed of locally made Corrigin bricks with a pediment entrance, Greek ionic columns, and a spacious interior that could accomodate 400 - 500 people sitting down for a dinner.
Corrigin is located 230kms east of perth and is the administrative centre for the 3100square kilometre Shire with a population of 1200. Wheat and other grain growing are the main products of the surrounding farms.
