What really catches MY eye is, the upper photo of, what is to me, the 'iconic' South Brother Mountain (hill). I had 'eyed it off' from afar (from my work place) until I finally worked up my courage to find out a bit more about it, and how to get to the top of it! It is completely surrounded by private properties, and the central part is also controlled by the local indigenous community, as a semi-sacred site. [From their passed-down legends of how the Three Brothers (mountains) were formed.] If you are in the area, and want to complete the minor series of Challenge Geocaches that are placed on South Brother, PLEASE let me know, as I am always up for yet another hike up to and over the mountain. But please be prepared to have at least 6 hours up your sleeve - for the 8 caches.

The next photo is of only one of the agricultural industries of this area. Orchards are also of the Blueberry, and Macadamia Nut kinds. With Dairy, and Beef cattle very common in the valley. Timber getting had been the other industry until the early 1900's.

The next photo, reminds me of a 'senior' geocacher, who contacted me in 2012 with the idea to place a total of x 200 geocaches throughout this area as a scenic trail. You will see this scene as you drive through getting the Mid North Coast Wander series of geocaches. ** It is NOT a 'Power Trail', and cachers are recommended to take their time enjoying the scenery.

The last photo, of the King Parrot, is another reminder of the great wildlife that can be seen as you journey through the National Parks here.

This sign was produced by the Manning Valley Tourist Association. Moorland seems 'so small' that there is not even a Wikipedia article on it - yet! So am using the nearby Hannam Vale article
