UPDATE: November 2018: The Hungry Horny Toad has moved from this building. The building is currently vacant.
The Hungry Horny Toad is owned by Floyd and Kristina Townsend. Their plan was to open a down-home good eating place, and to retain the ambiance of this Route 66 service station.
The restaurant serves homemade burgers, brisket, pulled pork and ribs, as well as salads. Their onion strings and French fries are super. The menu is basic, no frills, and tastes just like it came from your backyard grill. (

Inside, the theme is vintage service station, with road signs, license plates and other Route 66 memorabilia. The waitstaff is friendly and the food is delicious. A guest log book on the counter was interesting as visitors came from numerous other States, and foreign countries (travelers down Route 66 no doubt).
Near the front entrance is a large aquarium with several - you guessed it - horny toads. You don't see them so often anymore in Oklahoma. All in all, this was a great meal and fun time.
