There are many dedicated trees surrounding the Joliet Community Center. The dedicated trees are placed lining the parking area and in front of the center. Included among them is a dedicated tree honoring Viola Janz.

Viola Marie Leischner Janz was born August 22, 1915 in Fallon County and passed away July 9 2008.

Bob and Viola resided in Plevna where they farmed and owned and operated the Plevna Bar until 1948, when they purchased the Joliet Theatre.
