There are many dedicated trees surrounding the Joliet Community Center. The dedicated trees are placed lining the parking area and in front of the center. Included among them is a dedicated tree honoring Oscar and Mary Eik.

Mary Katharine Duxbury Eik, passed away peacefully in her home in Joliet on Thursday, May 8, 2003. She was born on April 2, 1923 to Boyd and Edna Duxbury. She grew up in Hysham and remained there until her family moved to Joliet on March 31, 1931.

Oscar Tilman Eik was born December 16, 1919 and passed away March 10, 1985.

Mary Katharine and Oscar Eik were married on June 5, 1946, in Red Lodge, after Oscar returned from his service in the Navy during Would War II.
