There are many dedicated trees surrounding the Joliet Community Center. The dedicated trees are placed lining the parking area and in front of the center. Included among them is a dedicated tree honoring Charles Descheemaeker.

Charles A. Descheemaeker passed away February 7, 2004 at the age of 86. He was born December 31, 1917, in Golden, Montana. The son of August and Alice (DeSutter) Descheemaeker.

In June of 1936, he was united in marriage to Anna Hoefert. It was a loving marriage that was to last 68 years until his passing.
