The dome of the gazebo holds two clocks. One facing East and one facing West. The clocks have white faces with black hands and Roman Numerals.
Jeff Morganthaler wrote in his book, Boerne - Settlement on the Cibolo, "The onion dome on the band stand in the town square (he should have written town plaza) has become an iconic symbol for Boerne, but in fact dates only to the 1980s, when it was purchased and installed by the Boerne Optimist Club."
