The Alkali Lake flora and fauna informational sign is in a nice viewing area overlooking the lake. Located on Hwy. 14 near the junction of Hwy. 120 about 3 km SE of downtown Cody.

Alkali Lakes provide habitat for waterfowl, shorebirds, wading birds and migratory landbirds.

The fauna sign provides descriptions and habitat information for the American Avocet, American Coot, Wilson's Phalarop, Northern Shoveler and American White Pelican.
