The municipality Moldava is situated on the ridge of Krušné hory (the Ore Mountains) about 25km north-west from a spa town Teplice at a sea level altitude of 785m. Geographically, Moldava is divided into the upper part, where a border crossing and a railway station can be found, and the lower part, which is intended mainly for living and recreation.
