Standort: Schottenring/Franz-Josephs-Kai
Künstler: Philip Johnson
Material: Holz, Fiberglas, Polyester

Revelation: 1998
The American architect Philip Johnson (1906 - 2005) created this sculpture in 1996 for the exhibition 'Philip Johnson - Turning Point', which was shown in the Museum of Applied Art.
'Turning Point' was an allusion to the turn of the millennium and to the architect's own creative power, which, with this sculpture, which he created at the age of 90, has once again entered new paths.
The monument conveys the impression of space, volume and emptiness meet, arcades offer free spaces.
The "Wiener Trio" (Viennese trio) was financed by the insurance company Wiener Städtische, so the sculpture was put up here in front of its headquarters in the Ringturm in 1998.
Philip Johnson, at a ripe old age, personally took part in the unveiling ceremony.
Due to underground construction works in 2010, the Wiener Trio had to move to the other side of the road.
