DE: Das Buntglasfenster im Nibelungenzimmer
Seit dem Dezember 2015 erstrahlt im Fenster des Nibelungenzimmers eine Rekonstruktion des historischen Buntglasfensters.
Mit dem eingesetzten Buntglasfenster lässt sich der Raum wieder als Gesamtkunstwerk erfassen, so wie er ursprünglich geplant war. Inhaltlich ist das Fenster in die thematische Gestaltung eingebunden. An der Holzverkleidung findet sich der Eingangsvers des Nibelungenliedes und an den Wänden die Leinwandgemälde mit Schlüsselszenen aus dem mittelalterlichen Epos. Das Fenster mit dem Schlussvers "Das ist der Nibelungen Not" und dem erlegten Drachen bildet den Endpunkt der Inszenierung.
Gleichzeitig schafft die farbige Verglasung im Raum eine besondere Lichtatmosphäre. Die Gemälde wirken lebendiger und plastischer und werden nicht durch eindringendes Tageslicht überleuchtet.
Durch die vollständige Restaurierung und Rekonstruktion des Nibelungenzimmers kehrt der authentische Eindruck eines gründerzeitlichen Salonraumes zurück. Finanziert werden konnte die Fensterrekonstruktion mit Hilfe eines großzügigen Erbes eines englischen Gönners an die NRW-Stiftung.

Since December 2015, a reconstruction of the historical stained glass window has been shining in the window of the Nibelungszimmer.
With the stained glass window used, the space can again be captured as an overall work of art, as originally planned. In terms of content, the window is integrated into the thematic design. On the wooden paneling is the entrance verse of the Nibelungenlied and on the walls the canvas paintings with key scenes from the medieval epic. The window with the final verse "This is the Nibelungen Not" and the kite kite is the end point of the production.
At the same time, the colored glazing in the room creates a special light atmosphere. The paintings are more vivid and sculptural and are not illuminated by the penetration of daylight.
Through the complete restoration and reconstruction of the Nibelungen room, the authentic impression of a foundational salon room returns. The window reconstruction could be financed with the help of a generous legacy of an English patron to the NRW Foundation.
