A memorial to the members of the Ithaca College community that were killed on September 11, 2001 is located at the south edge of an island that is easily reached by a dock-like bridge.
A bronze plaque, next to a peace pole, is inscribed:
"The heart hath its own memory, like the mind,
And in it are enshrined the precious keepsakes."
