Casteller Reiter since 1974

Die Figur:
Die Skulptur zeigt einen Boten auf einem Pferd, der auf dem Kopf einen fränkischen Dreispitz (teilweise auch als „Frankenhut“ bezeichnet) trägt.

Geschichte:

Die Castell-Bank schenkte die Figur anläßlich ihres 200jährigen Geschäftsjubiläums der Stadt Würzburg. Der Casteller Reiter wurde 1974 von Otto Sonnleitner geschaffen.

The figure:
The sculpture shows a messenger on a horse, which carries on its head a Franconian Dreispitz (sometimes also called "Frankenhut").

The history:
The Castell Bank donated the figure to the city of Würzburg on the occasion of its 200-year business anniversary. The Casteller Reiter was created 1974 by Otto Sonnleitner.
