Gärtners erster selbständiger Kirchenbau lehnt sich an das Vorbild von Sep Rufs Kirchen in München-Bogenhausen an. Die Kirche wird durch bunte Glasfenster und ein Fenster im Zenit der Decke erleuchtet. Die meisten Ausstattungsstücke stammen von den beiden Künstlern Prof. Josef Hanselmann und Hubert Elsässer.
