FR Le château fortifié de Trigance est actuellement un hôtel-restaurant renommé dont l'accès est par conséquent réservé à la clientèle.

La première mention d'un "villae Tregentia" figure en 813-814 dans un registre de l'abbaye de Saint Victor de Marseille, mais le château ne pourrait cependant dater que du XIème siècle. A la Révolution, le château n'est pas confisqué mais ravagé avec ses archives et sert alors de carrière aux habitants du village. Souvent, après la révolution, les pierres d'un château ont servi à la construction de maisons.

Dans la deuxième moitié du XIXème Siècle, une des tours du château fut détruite pour en employer les pierres à la construction d'un moulin à Soleils (commune actuelle de Trigance).

En 1961, des commerçants au Luc signent un crédit bail avec la mairie avec l'idée folle de restaurer le château.

Après avoir remué 900 tonnes de pierres, l'hôtel-restaurant ouvre ses portes en 1964.

En 1970, les propriétaires changent mais les travaux se poursuivent.

La tour sud-ouest jusqu'alors ensevelie est entièrement reconstruite et reliée aux autres par un mur ornée de créneaux. Il contribue aujourd'hui au renouveau de l'essor touristique du village.
EN The fortified castle of Trigance is currently a renowned hotel-restaurant whose access is consequently reserved for the clientele.

The first mention of a "villae Tregentia" appears in 813-814 in a register of the abbey of Saint Victor in Marseille, but the castle could however only date from the 11th century. At the time of the Revolution, the castle was not confiscated but ravaged with its archives and served as a quarry for the inhabitants of the village. Often, after the revolution, the stones of a castle were used for the construction of houses.

In the second half of the 19th century, one of the towers of the castle was destroyed to use the stones to build a mill in Soleils (current commune of Trigance).  

In 1961, traders at the Luc sign a lease with the town hall with the crazy idea to restore the castle.

After stirring 900 tons of stones, the hotel-restaurant opened its doors in 1964.

In 1970, the owners change but the work continues.

The south-west tower previously buried is completely rebuilt and connected to the others by a wall adorned with battlements. Today, it contributes to the revival of the village's tourist development.
