Text of plaque:

This building erected by the Masons in 1852 as the female department of the Masonic Institute was the First Girls School building in Palestine and was taught by Mrs. J.V.E. Covey. Here Joh Graham Cooch in January 1853 organized the first Sunday school and started the First free circulating library with books from his private collection. Marked in 1928.
