Das Alte Rathaus der Stadt Unkel wurde 1855 als Volksschule gebaut. Seit 1908 ist dort das Bürgermeisteramt untergebracht.
Das Rathaus des kleinen Städtchens Unkel am Rhein liegt im Landkreis Neuwied im Norden von Rheinland-Pfalz und ist auch Verwaltungssitz der gleichnamigen Verbandsgemeinde Unkel. Die Stadt liegt etwa 20 Kilometer südlich von Bonn am unteren Mittelrhein und hat Anteil am Naturpark Rhein-Westerwald.
Unkel war die späte Wahlheimat von Willy Brandt, dem ehemaligen Bürgermeister von Berlin, Altbundeskanzler und Friedensnobelpreisträgers. In der ehemaligen Grundschule bzw. dem heutigen Rathaus können Besucher das private Arbeitszimmer von Willy Brandt besichtigen. Eine kleine Ausstellung zeigt unter anderem das Abiturzeugnis und die Friedensnobelpreisurkunde.

Today this is the town hall of the little town Unkel on the Rhine. Unkel is situated in the district of Neuwied, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, on the right bank of the Rhine, near Remagen, about 20 km southeast of Bonn.
Unkel on the Rhine was the late adopted home of Willy Brandt, the former mayor of Berlin, former chancellor and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Visitors can visit Willy Brandt's private study in the town hall. A small exhibition shows, among other things, the Abitur certificate and the Nobel Peace Prize certificate.
