From the WhatPub website:-
First licensed in 1810, this Low Town free-house is a popular pub with all age groups. Nine hand-pulls serve four regular and three changing guest beers which include seasonal ales.
Extended into the adjacent property in late 2016, it now has three drinking areas. The extended front bar has a rustic feel but with a modern atmosphere. To the right of the entrance is a large wood-panelled lounge bar which leads to a conservatory. The lounge and conservatory have wide screen TVs, mainly for sporting events which are enthusiastically supported by the regulars.
