The Homesteader Museum, though small in comparison to some state museums, was one of the most interesting we visited. There are typical homesteader cabins, workshops and equipment also displayed outside.

The Olivette Gas Range is inside the Homesteader's cabin located
outside of the museum.
This is a very nice example of a circa 1920 gas range. Little information about the "Olivette" brand or company was found. As best as can be determined it was distributed by Sears and Roebuck, most likely through their catalog which was common for this time period.
The Olivette gas range is in excellent condition featuring four cooking surfaces, oven and possibly a broiler under the oven. It is white porcelain with light blue trim. The name "Olivette" on the oven door is extremely well preserved.
There were several other brands that made this identical style of gas range, the most common was made by Tappan.
