Lions Mouth fountain - probably built around the time of the enclosure of the land around Burton Hall in the 1820s.

Burton Hall owner Charles George Mundy, built this as a replacement for the now enclosed village pond. It remained the main public water supply in Burton until 1949 when piped water was finally brought to the village. The fountain was restored in 2000. It is Listed Grade II, and now serves a purely decorative purpose.

According to Wikipedia 'the village is famous for its Lion's Head fountain.' (visit link)
