A l’entrée des remparts de la cité fortifiée, cette stèle s’affirme en l’honneur du bicentenaire de la libération des prisonnières huguenotes, les protestants qui furent malmenés.
Sur les quelques gravures qui la constituent se trouve un résumé de l’histoire : La galère où ramaient les huguenots, la grille qui évoque la prison.
La croix huguenote, enfin, qui est le symbole emblématique qui rattache les huguenots, mêmes dispersés.
At the entrance of the ramparts of the fortified city, this stele asserts itself in honor of the bicentenary of the liberation of the Huguenot prisoners, the Protestants who were mistreated.
On the few engravings which constitute it there is a summary of the story: The galley where the Huguenots rowed, the grid that evokes the prison.
