In the
Artists at Play playground at Seattle Center is a row of eighteen yellow pipes, each of a different length/Height. About three feet high on each pipe is a window-like hole, which exposes a metal ball, suspended from opposite ends by two taut pieces of wire. Pulling on the ball and releasing it causes the ball to strike the pipes and produce a tone. At the base of each pipe is a small circular plaque that specifies the musical note of each pipe (A, B, B-flat, C, C-sharp, etc).
The musical pipes can be seen in Google Street View (pan left and right to see all pipes).
