The brushed stainless steel pole is near a collection of U.S. and military flags at Veterans Park, surrounded by terra cotta pavers and landscaping. The pole promotes global unity by displaying its laser-cut message "May Peace Prevail on Earth” in 12 different languages.
The plaque nearby gives the dedication date of September 19, 2015 and states that it is a "gift to the community of Naperville from the ThinkGlobal Arts Foundation. This Peace Pole is a symbol of our community's commitment to inclusion, embracing different cultures, traditions, races and faiths. It stands alongside thousands of peace poles around the world in silent prayer for peace on earth." Well done!
The handsome young man aside the pole, offering a peace sign, is #3 son!
