Access from Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, Mile 49.4, Fishers Gap Overlook. Rose River Run trail 2.6 miles returning on you path or 4.2 miles round trip with Dark Hollow Falls.
Not the largest in the park, but esp. when taking the round trip and enjoying the whole stream, impressive. Somewhat difficult & steep hike, but well worth it as the leaves change in October. In the spring as well, I imagine there are several types of wildflowers in the area.
Suggest downloading trail maps from the Parks service or the $2 "Hikes to Waterfalls" maps in the shops in the park.
Note: Waterfall is pretty, but hard to get a proper photo of. I'll give you what I've got, but you'll want to see it for yourself.
