The Hy and Virga Bischoff dedicated bench is in Mural Park at the corner of E. Main Street and Nevada Avenue. This a very well done mural completed in 1999. It shows the deep canyons typical of regions of Wyoming, and wild horses roaming free.

Hyrum David Bischoff was born April 20, 1899 Fountain Green, Utah and passed away January 3, 1988 Lovell, Wyoming at the age of 88.

"He was born April 20, 1899 in Fountain Green, Utah, the son of Nephi Daniel and Annie S. Olson Bischoff. He came to Wyoming when he was 1 year old with his family. He grew up in Lovell and attended the Lovell schools and the Big Horn Academy in Cowley.

He later attended the University of Utah. He served a mission for the L.D.S. church to the Eastern States mission in 1924. He married Virga Porter June 15, 1927 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. She died February 11, 1972. Mr. Bischoff was the owner and operator of the Hyatt Theater in Lovell and had worked in motion picture operations since 1913.

He was also co-owner of the Bischoff Livestock Co. of Lovell. He was a member of the Lovell Lions Club and the Lovell Chamber of Commerce. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”

Virga Marie Porter Bischoff was born October 3, 1901 in Otto, Wyoming and passed away February 11, 1972 Denver, Colorado.

”She was born October 3, 1901 the daughter of George Myron Porter and Ellen Loretta Chapin in Otto, Big Horn County, Wyoming. She was married to Hyrum David Bischoff on June 15, 1927 in the Cardston Temple at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived in Worland, Wyoming for five years and in Lovell, Wyoming for most of her life.”
