This rock outcrop that withstood the glaciers is one of the very few that exist in the Rocky Mountain Trench and certainly gave the highway construction and extra challenge in building the Hwy 93/95. The benchmark is located at the north end of the East side of the rock cut on a flat ground which probably is the north end of the rock cut. The outcrop sits in the middle of the highway and does not extend very far E or W. Almost the shape of a ball.
The date stamp is 1963 however the usual BM designation does not appear. What does show in a lower quadrant and not in the middle are the numbers 51-75.
