This is a plain but significant memorial for the town of Beresfield; Dedicated in November, 1978, with more recent plaques of 1995.

The 3 metre tall orange-brick column is surrounded by a very low brick fence on three sides. On the top of the eastern side is the Australian Returned Services League crest, flanked by two bronze cast rifles.
Below which are the words:
"LEST WE FORGET"
Below those words are four brass emblems/crests for the services, with a 'more recently placed' plaque in the middle, which reads:
" 1945 [RSL logo] 1995
On Tuesday the Fifteenth August 1995
the Service Crests of
the Navy, Army, Air Force and Merchant Navy
were placed on this War memorial
by Beresfield and District RSL Sub-Branch
and is dedicated to those who served
and to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary
of the end of World War II
