This is a plain but significant memorial for the town of Beresfield; Dedicated in November, 1978, with more recent plaques of 1995.

The 3 metre tall orange-brick column is surrounded by a very low brick fence on three sides. On the top of the eastern side is the Australian Returned Services League crest, flanked by two bronze cast rifles. Below which are the words:

"LEST WE FORGET"

Below those words are four brass emblems/crests for the services, with a 'more recently placed' plaque in the middle, which reads:


" 	 1945 [RSL logo] 1995
 On Tuesday the Fifteenth August 1995
	the Service Crests of
the Navy, Army, Air Force and Merchant Navy
   were placed on this War memorial
by Beresfield and District RSL Sub-Branch 
  and is dedicated to those who served
and to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary
	of the end of World War II

RSL President  |  RSL Secretary  |   RSL Treasurer
Mr. G. Smith     Mrs L. I. Keevers   Mr H.W.L. Love"

Below which is a marble plaque which reads:

	This plaque was unveiled by
		S.K. Saul. Esq.
  Northern Country R.S.L. Vice President

  of the Dedication of this War Memorial
Erected by the Beresfield R.S.L. Sub Branch
		     and
	   Members of the Community
		Lest We Forget

Parking may be a bit hard, unless you park in the Beresfield Bowling Club car park, as the street parking is very limited.

This is in a shady park, with a Howitzer, and two Mortars on display; beside the local bowling club.
