This is a bronze, cast plaque, in good condition, embedded in a small square of concrete, just behind a hanging chain fence at the side of the Catholic church on Delprat Avenue, Beresfield. [Beresfield is a northwestern 'suburb' of Newcastle, and about 20 km out from the heart of Newcastle, with a population of some 3,000 - Wikipedia]. The plaque reads:
Beneath this plaque [Celtic Cross]
lies a time capsule
buried on
The Feast of Christ The King
Sunday 22nd November 1998
Rev Fr Ronald James Pickin
Parish Priest
Visited: Sunday, 31 January, 2016
[It is thought that it would be opened on the 50th anniversary, but the Parish Priest is checking with local church council on that.]
