Ce camion d'incendie Fargo 1962 est exhibé dans un parc de la municipalité de Matagami. Il s'agit du premier véhicule utilisé par les pompiers de la municipalité.
Ce camion a été fabriqué par Chrysler Canada, mais modifié par l'entreprise québécoise Pierre Thibault afin de servir en tant que véhicule d'incendie.
Selon Wikipedia, "Matagami est une petite ville au Québec, au Canada. Il est situé au nord d'Amos, sur le lac Matagami, à l'extrémité nord de la route 109 et au début de la route de la Baie James. La ville avait une population de 1 526 en 2011.
Matagami fut fondée en 1963 lors du développement de l'extraction minière. Auparavant, il n'y avait qu'un petit camp de prospection accessible par hydravion, mais, après la découverte d'un gisement important à la fin des années 1950, un établissement permanent a été établi.
En 1962, la Commission de toponymie du Québec a tenté de renommer la communauté « Mazenod » d'après Charles-Joseph-Eugène de Mazenod, le fondateur des Oblats de Marie-Immaculée, mais, après les plaintes des résidants de la communauté, elle a finalement été renommée d'après le lac Matagami. Matagami, en cri, signifie « confluence des eaux".

This Fargo 1962 fire truck is displayed as monument in a park located in the municiality of Matagami, Québec. It is the very first fire truck used by the firemen of the municipality.
This truck was manufactured by Chrysler Canada, but modified by Quebec's company Pierre Thibault to serve as a fire vehicle.
According to Wikipedia, "Matagami is a small town in Quebec, Canada. It is located north of Amos, on Matagami Lake, at the northern terminus of Route 109 and the start of the James Bay Road (French: Route de la Baie James). The town had a population of 1,526 in 2011.
Matagami was founded in 1963 with the development of mining in the area. Previously, it existed only as a very small prospecting camp accessible only by float plane, but after a viable mineral deposit was found in the late 1950s a permanent settlement began to be established. In 1962, the Quebec Toponomy Commission attempted to name the new community Mazenod after Charles-Joseph-Eugène de Mazenod, the founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, but after a public outcry by local residents the community was named after Matagami Lake.
The name Matagami means "the confluence of waters" in the Cree language".
