FR La lecture du balson est ainsi : De gueules à un château donjonné de trois tours d’or, ouvert d’argent et hersé de sable, sur un mont aussi d’argent mouvant de la pointe et chargé d’une croix pattée de gueules. Ce blason est inspiré de celui enregistré par d’Hozier pour la commune, sans croix pattée, et au château uniquement donjonné de trois tourelles. Les armes de Montmeyan se rapprochent de celles des Castellane, dont elles ne diffèrent que par la montagne parlante sur laquelle est placé le château. Cette famille posséda pendant très longtemps cette terre. La croix pattée de gueules a été rajoutée par la municipalité pour différencier le blason de celui de Saint-Julien qui avait exactement le même, et rappeler la présence protectrice de l'ordre du Temple
Ce blason semble être une fayence sur une pierre.
EN The reading of the balson is as follows: From gules to a castle donated by three gold towers, open Argent and sanded, on a mount of silver moving from the point and loaded with a cross patté Of gules. This coat of arms is inspired by that recorded by d'Hozier for the commune, without cross patte, and the castle only donjoned with three turrets. The arms of Montmeyan are close to those of Castellane, of which they differ only by the speaking mountain on which the castle is placed. This family owned this land for a very long time. The cross patée Gules was added by the municipality to differentiate the coat of arms of that of Saint-Julien which had exactly the same, and to recall the protective presence of the order of the Temple.
