From 1915, when the railway line came to Kondinin,a dam was constructed at the foot of Woorkakanin Rock, and piped to the overhead water tank in the railway yard. The dam also supplied the town of Kondinin's water supply until 1926, when the Yeerakine Rock dam was built.
